Hi readers! Summer Rae here!
Most of all, thank you so much for visiting my site! I wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself in this "About Me" section of my Mommy Blog site. I am a 28-year-old mother of two, a beautiful boy and a baby girl. I also work a full-time job and am starting to go back to school to major in Land Surveying and Geomatics. My son is 7 years old, SUPER rambunctious, loves video games, is aspiring to start his own YouTube Channel, and, most of all, absolutely loves to irritate the living crap out of his sister. My daughter is almost 3, and when I say she has my sass and attitude… She gives me a run for my money on the daily. Was I the only one who didn’t know little girls they’d start rolling their eyes at one year old? No one warned me, lol. She, too, absolutely loves to irritate the living crap out of her brother.
Many moms or people in general who may find themselves sitting behind their devices reading what they’re reading now might already be in a similar position I was in a year ago (May of 2022). They also might be still trying to fight their way past their rock bottom, or they haven’t quite hit it yet, so I urge everyone to always be aware of the people around them. Your friend, relative, significant other, or child who always says they are “fine” might not be.
Trigger Warning: My main "Mommy Blog Saga" story is not going to be pretty.
Sadly, it's meant to be….
It is a play-by-play narrative of my own personal experiences dealing with Anxiety and Depression, how it started and how I have been able to overcome it, how I am fighting with it now, and why I am still here today. There will be chapters that talk about the thoughts I had, my contemplations of suicide, disassociation, therapy, childhood trauma, fits of rage and anger, psychiatric evaluations, the effect it had on my children and marriage, and honestly, so much more.
Please also feel free to email me ( summer@notsohotmom.com ) if, after reading this blog, you still aren’t sure what to do. I will reach out as soon as possible!
I hope that wherever you are in your Depression and/or Anxiety journey right now, you find peace. That you’re able to find that peace here or are able to use this Mommy Blog Saga & the Get Your Sh*t Together Blogs as stepping stones to get you closer than you ever have been to starting or continuing, you’re your mental health journey. With that being said, I hope you find everything you’re looking for and more 💓
The Bookery Bees Editing Co. was founded in March 2024 by myself, my Editor Cheyanne Renteria, Proofreaders Stacy Brewster and Mary Nelson, and Book Advisors Alicia Smith, Taylor Jenkins, and Christine Smith. Our goal is to release collaborative works of art by turning our romantic fantasies into beautifully written books. We are a close group of women who consider ourselves the Worker Bees, writing the words that eventually turn into honey through lots of hard work, time, and love. We hope that you enjoy everything we pour our heart and soul into!
